Counseling for Friends & Family of Addicts

More often than not, drug addictions start with experimental use of a drug in social situations.  As time passes, a person may feel the need to use more of a drug to get their desired high, and soon a person may need the drug to simply feel “good.”

When we see this happen to a loved one, we do everything we can to help. But sometimes, our unconditional love simply isn’t enough.

It is very difficult to deal with the behavior of a loved one once they are addicted to drugs or alcohol.  Our behavior changes to accommodate the erratic behaviors of the addicted person, and pretty soon we are spending most of our time trying to cope with the other’s addiction.

You deserve support to really look at what is happening to your family life and to make some new decisions about how you want to live your life.  Trying to cope with a loved one’s erratic and chaotic life can be miserable, if not dangerous.  Your family life will be positively changed, once the loved one’s addiction is addressed.
